Award Winning

Well technically the artists won the prizes but the interviews look pretty darn good too we think. This was part of Bowers and Wilkins ‘Hear True’ campaign. We were asked to film interviews with the group Wolf Alice and the Jazz musician Moses Boyd in their natural habitat – a recording studio. The other important thing was the interviews needed to look top notch.

The Shoot

For this we brought in one of our top DOPs and as you can see we definitely delivered. The clips were shot on two Red cameras with the gorgeous creative lighting. When shooting Wolf Alice, one camera was locked off while the other was manned and followed the speaker. We also shot some behind the scenes interaction with the band and Moses trying on Bowers and Wilkins’ new wireless headphones.

Post

Post production on this one was pretty straightforward and efficient. As we always do we ensure the grade and mix were great and then it was a case of cutting the interviews into multiple segments to be used in social media. The deliverables had to be reformatted into many different aspect ratios related to where they were going to be used. It’s always nice to work on projects like this and this one had the added bonus that we discovered the music of these two amazing acts.
