Back in June 2018 we had a very interesting shoot in the states. Normally when you plan a shoot you’re looking for good weather. In this case our definition of ‘good weather’ was somewhat different to most people’s definitions. In this case ‘good weather’ meant the most extreme weather we could find. We were actually looking for supercell thunderstorms which are the most extreme on the planet.
Spoiler alert, we found some which was lucky as we spent Almost 2 weeks in the infamous tornado valley to capture some very rare and stunning images of these incredible phenomena for a film commissioned by a major television manufacturer.
The crew included Leigh Emmerson, POV founder, Storm chasing expert Stuart Robinson and DOP and storm chaser Alister Chapman. Here is the documentary on how we got on.
