The job
At the end of 2020 we were lucky enough to help Farnborough Hill school celebrate Christmas by producing their Christmas Service. Our client Helen Bulkeley worked closely with the school and filmed over two days. Strict social distancing was adhered to and actually some performances were filmed in multiple sessions so that pupils didn’t need to be together at the same time.
Virtual Attendance
The whole point of this exercise was to allow all the parents and teachers, who would normally be attending the service, to experience it remotely adhering to Covid guidelines. We feel in some ways it is an improvement to actually attending. Not only do you have the best seat in the house, but you also get to see angles you’d never be able to see if you were actually attending.
A triumph
The feedback both from the school and the viewers was extremely positive and, perhaps because of Covid, a lot of viewers found it quite emotional. Sadly we can’t link to the video here for privacy reasons but we were very happy with the result and would love to do more of these. Once again this is a production that wouldn’t have been necessary in a pre Covid world and we’re pleased to be working with clients like Helen to innovate new solutions like this to address the challenges we now face.
